In order to promote it line of Xperia series smartphone, Sony Mobile has put pen to paper to sign a contract agreement till 2018 with the UEFA Champions Leagues.
Sony Mobile will also support the UEFA Super Cup, as well as the Women’s Champions League Final and UEFA Youth League Finals. The Japanese tech giant’s mobile phones and tablets will join Sony Playstation 4 on the sponsorship boards during Champions League games.
In addition to being featured during games, training sessions, and press conferences, Sony Mobile and Playstation products will also appear on UEFA’s official website. Unsurprisingly, both Sony and European football’s governing body are pleased with the partnership.
Sony Mobile, with its innovative range of Xperia smartphones and tablets, as well as unique SmartWear products, is uniquely placed to engage with fans both in the stadium and the digital arena, through enriching mobile content experiences.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Dennis van Schie, Chief Commercial Officer of Sony Mobile, said: “UEFA Champions League is the pinnacle of club football and we’re excited to bring fans around the world extraordinary ways to enjoy and share their passion for the game. This prestigious global platform enables us to extend our reach to new audiences and provide them with truly engaging and immersive mobile experiences.”
