The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge might have make record good sales, reaching 10 million units sold worldwide so far since after over one month of it launched and began shipment but that did not break any record as it was classified as running behind scheduled as it predecessor, the Galaxy S5 sold same number last year in just 25 days.
According to a senior Samsung executive who was quoted as saying in Korean media “A year ago the Galaxy S5 reached the same milestone in 25 days, so the current model isn’t breaking any records. We are talking about smartphones shipped though, and not devices that actually made it to the users’ hands.
The Galaxy S6 boasts Samsung’s first built-in wireless-charging batteries. The offbeat Galaxy S6 Edge also has been grabbing the market’s attention with the industry’s first screen that is curved at both the left and right edges. They started official sales on April 10.
With this development, all former assumption forecasting that the S6 and S6 Edge will reach 50 million or even 70 million by forecaster before the end of 2015 is not sure any longer, well lets keep finger cross and watch how the scenario play on.
