How To Enable The Notification Light On Nexus 5X and 6P

Here are some steps that you should follow to activate the notification light on Nexus 5X and 6P:

Step 1

In order to access the notification light, you will have to access the settings of your Nexus 5X and 6P. The very first thing you should do is launching the settings app. In the main menu of your smartphone, look for the settings icon and tap on it. This should provide you with all details that are in line with the device settings. One of the settings you will see is Sound and Notifications.

Step 2

Open the ‘Sound and Notification’ feature in order to access further settings. This is the feature that allows you to access the notifications and anything in that line. Upon opening the ‘Sound and Notification’ feature, you should focus on the latter. Note that the feature merges sound and notification.

Step 3

Trace an option labeled ‘Pulse Notification Light’ in the list of settings under ‘Sound and Notifications’. This is the function that allows you to manipulate the settings of the notification light. There is a button adjacent to the ‘Pulse and Notification Light’ wording. In this case, the button should be positioned at ‘off’. To activate the light, you will have to slide the button to the ‘On’ side. Once you do so, any notification that streams in your phone will trigger the light.

Note: If you wish to deactivate the light after a moment, the same process should be followed. Note that the process is not a permanent one hence you can reverse everything.
