google-mapYou do not need to stress yourself anymore, Google has your back on this one and has been storing your location history, so you can cherish the places where you have been in the past.

Most of us use Google Maps to get directions, find out places and we also let it guide us to our destinations. Check-ins and location history is being delegated to other social app.

To a certain extent, the feature, that has been made official yesterday and dubbed as “Your Timeline,” existed in a beta mode quite some time back. It’s all about where a user has been, meaning Google Maps stores location data of your past treks and can display to you in a timeline format, which can let you trace your steps and show the places you have been to in the past.

If you have Google Photos turned on and took any specific photos pertaining to a certain location on a chosen date, then the timeline will also present you with all the photos that you took. Google calls it helping you recall your memories. It’s like stalking your past visits and is of course all private and not public.
