SHARE

It is just incredible that Facebook has gone to a whole new level. Unlike in the past, it is now possible to create a profile video instead of picture. Well, you must agree with me that this is indeed a good twist for Facebook users. iOS users are the immediate beneficiaries of this feature. With an apple smartphone, you will be in a position to create a Facebook profile video easily and fast.

You will realize that most people have not been able to create a profile video for their Facebook accounts. This means that you will be among the first to make your profile outstanding. The best part is that this is achieved in very simple steps.

Here is a guide on how to do just that:

#Step 1

The first thing is to ensure that your iOS device has the respective Facebook app. Only then will you be able to carryout the profile video creation process for your Facebook account. Most iOS devices come with Facebook app ready and that is why you have nothing to worry about. If your device does not have any, you can simply download one.

#Step 2

On the lower-right corner of the app, you will find a button labeled ‘more’. Tap on the button in order to open further options in this respect. One of the options you will be provided with is your profile page under your name. Tap on your name in order to access your Facebook profile page.

#Step 3

Upon opening your profile page, you will be presented with all the things that tally with your profile. At this juncture, you should concentrate on your profile picture. Tap on your profile picture in order to get update options. You have two options at your disposal. The first one is ‘Take a new profile Video’ and the second one is ‘upload video or photo’.  Opt for the former.

#Step 4

The reason why you should opt for ‘take a new profile video’ is that Facebook only gives room for a 7-second clip. Moreover, you cannot trim an already existing video on Facebook to match 7 seconds. Upon tapping on the option, you will now be at liberty to take the video that you want as long as it meets the recommended length. Once done taking the clip, you can then upload it in your profile.

#Step 5

The final step in this process is to activate the video that you have just taken and uploaded. It is actually the easiest step. Select a thumbnail from the video as your profile picture. Once you have done so, the video will show up in your Facebook newsfeed.

Note: You must understand that people will only be able to view your profile video only after visiting your profile. When other people are going through their timelines, your profile video will only appear as a picture.
