Easy Steps to Create a Windows 10 Lock Screen


windowsWindows has changed the way it screen locks. Microsoft has done something you can only see on a smartphone rather than on a PC.

Now you don’t need to go to “Settings” and choose “Sign-in Options” before you can get you screen locked. Under this category there exists three different ways to change how you log into your machine.

The first thing you need to do is to change the password to your user account. This gives you only you the access to your computer with entry permitted when the correct password is entered.

The second thing is all about setting a PIN which allows you to easily access the Windows account on your computer as well as other apps and services using an ATM-style-PIN.

The third thing is option allows you to set a gesture as a password. You can select a photo into which you can make three different mouse gestures in order to lock and unlock your screen.

Setting Up a PIN
Go to “Sign-in Options” click on “Add” button under PIN. It will ask you to “Verify your Account” by typing your Windows Login password. Once you type correctly, you will be able to input your PIN.

Type your PIN once in each box, and hit “Continue.”

Now, if you log off your computer or want to use an app, you can just use your PIN to gain access.

Picture Lock Screen

Before we start, make sure the picture you are going to use is already on your computer.

When you click “Add a Lock Picture,” you will have to type your Windows password.

Click on “Choose a New Picture” and browse to the folder where you saved the picture.

Once you set up the picture you must activate your gestures which is very easy to do. All you just need to do is to click-and-drag gesture or you can click a spot on the photo. It is better if you choose something very easy to remember, something like your name, your spouse’s name or your date of birth which people can’t easily guess.

The last step, is to confirm your gestures.

You now can log into Windows 10 by using gestures on your lock screen.
