MTN Group has confirmed the resignation of Ahmad Farroukh, CEO of MTN South Africa. There have been speculations over the possible departure of Farroukh; and now his has been confirmed which will take effect from 31 July 2015.
“This was a difficult decision to take for Ahmad, but unavoidable due to personal and family reasons. On behalf of the MTN leadership, we thank Ahmad for his contribution and wish him success with his future endeavours” MTN Group president and CEO, Sifiso Dabengwa said.
Farroukh joined MTN in 2006. MTN group have not named a successor to Farroukh yet, but the announcement will be made as soon as the new appointment is finalized.
